There are millions of us Christians scattered all over India. As our leaders struggle to cope with the day to day administrative problems of our churches and other institutions, our ever increasing numbers go about groping for leadership and direction.
We find ourselves today at the bottom of the country’s economic ladder. Some of our Christian brothers and sisters are living today in the most horrifying and appalling conditions. The most deprived amongst them come from the Scheduled castes and tribes who are also deprived of the many Government benefits that are conferred upon the same classes of other religions. Our Churches and other Christian institutions have thus far made little alternative assistance to these under privileged people.
